Buchanan Street Partners Hires VP of Self-Storage Acquisition and Development Team

Buchanan Street Partners LP, a Newport Beach, California-based real estate investment and management firm, has hired Jon Suddarth as a vice president of its self-storage acquisition and development team. Suddarth will oversee opportunities in the California Bay Area as well as Colorado and the Pacific Northwest, according to a source.

Suddarth has more than 10 years of experience in the self-storage industry, having lead the acquisition and development of more than 1.6 million square feet of storage space. He was previously a principal at Colorado-based VanWest Partners and vice president of real estate for California-based William Warren Group, which operates the StorQuest Self Storage brand.

Suddarth serves on the Colorado Self Storage Association Board of Directors. He holds an undergraduate degree in business from the University of Kansas and a master’s degree in real estate and construction management from the University of Denver.

Founded in 1999, Buchanan manages commingled investment funds, institutional separate accounts, and individual institutional and high-net-worth investment vehicles. Since its inception, the firm has invested more than $8 billion in real estate debt and equity investments, according to its website.
