President of Self-Storage Investor BDG Joins Contractors, Closers & Connections Leadership

Doug Steverson, president of self-storage private-equity investment company Boardwalk Development Group LLC (BDG), has been named to the executive leadership team of Contractors, Closers & Connections (CCC). The organization provides a forum through which commercial real estate and construction professionals can network and work toward industry advancement.

Steverson was promoted to BDG president last month after serving as director of acquisitions since he joined the firm in 2018. He’s helped the company increase its real estate holdings by 600% and has been instrumental in the acquisition and disposition of more than $300 million in assets, according to a press release.

Steverson began his career in commercial real estate in 2007 as an associate with brokerage firm NAI Brannen Goddard, where he specialized in industrial-tenant and landlord representation. He was promoted to vice president, then became a multi-year recipient of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors’ Million Dollar Club.

“I am confident Doug will do a great job and add value as a board member for CCC,” said BDG CEO Rajen Sheth.

A former U.S. marine, Steverson earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia State University.

Founded in Atlanta in 2016 by Sheth, BDG specializes in self-storage and boat/storage acquisition, development, investment, and operation in the Southeast. It has acquired or built more than $500 million in the sector.
