Spring is here. It’s time for sunshine, blooming flowers, outdoor activities … and pests! Critters like mice, cockroaches, ants and others love your dark, often undisturbed self-storage units. Even when you do your best to prevent and eradicate these vermin, they can turn up. Renters sometimes bring them in with their stored goods, plus they tend to pack human food and other things that pests love to eat, like cardboard and wood. So … do you tell your tenants about it? All of your tenants or just the ones you believe to be affected? If so, when and how? This is the topic of a recent thread on the Self-Storage Talk online community. See what your fellow facility operators think and add your own viewpoint.
