Steel Storage Holdings Pty. Ltd., an international construction and development firm serving the self-storage industry, has introduced a new cylinder security lock that works with its range of recess door-latch systems. The lock extends the company’s line of Streamline Recess Latch & Lock Systems, which are designed to improve a facility’s customer experience, according to a press release.

“The cylinder lock enables a self-storage operator to generate additional revenue for each unit, plus improves the customer’s experience, as it provides a level of security assurance for customers as well as a stylish, streamlined look to the facility,” says CEO Colin Jeromson.

Steel-Self-Storage-Cylinder-Lock***The cylinder lock can be locked without a key; but when a key is used, it retains the lock, preventing it from falling to the ground and causing damage. The lock also comes with an overlocking-plate system that prevents customer entry during periods of nonpayment as well as a lifetime warranty.

The Streamline product line has also been extended to include a recess-latch system that can be fitted into the grooves of roller doors while providing the same benefits as the Swing Door Recess Latch, the release stated. Product benefits include minimal corridor intrusion and the prevention of lock damage and customer injuries from protruding locks.
