21st Century Storage, a self-storage operator based in Aspen, Colo., recently contributed $754 to the Meals On Wheels Association of America, which provides programs to feed senior citizens across the United States.

Ellie Hollander, president and CEO of the association, sent a letter to 21 Century Storage owner Clayton Gentry, expressing her appreciation for the contribution. Hollander wrote, Your support makes it possible for local Meals On Wheels programs to fight the disease of hunger that now affects one in seven seniors in our country.

Meals On Wheels programs provide more than 1 million nutritious meals each day. Volunteers also provide friendly visits and safety checks, which are critical to the health and well-being of seniors, who often live alone.

Hollander concluded the letter with, Your financial and personal investment in this cause brings us closer to accomplishing our vision of ending senior hunger in America. I cannot thank you enough for being part of this movement.

This year, 21st Century Storage has also donated money to the March of Dimes, Habitat for Humanity, Prevent Child Abuse America, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Disabled American Veterans. In addition, many of the companys staff work in conjunction with local schools, nonprofit groups and other initiatives.

21st Century Storage operates four facilities in California, Missouri, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The company plans to develop additional facilities, including in Asia and Europe.
