Door To Door is donating the use of 10 portable self-storage containers, including rental and transportation, to house the toys donated by the public. They are being delivered today to Fire Station 75, which is being used as the central sorting location. Units are designated to hold toys for children by age group. Several "wrapping parties" will be held, during which community members and Door To Door employees will gather and wrap all of the toys prior to distribution.
"Door To Door is headquartered in Kent, so our employees and their families feel especially committed to help those that need assistance in our community," said Annette Jacobs, the company’s president and CEO. "In addition to providing logistical support, our employees will participate in the program's activities, and we encourage our fellow community members to do so as well."
