A nuclear bunker once slated to be used as a Royal Air Force communications center in the event of war has been bought for conversion by Self Storage 4U. The UNITER building on Ministry of Defense land at Fort George, Scotland, is built of 2-foot-thick reinforced concrete, and the only access is through a heavy-duty steel door with a unique locking system. The Inverness, Scotland, storage firm, which has 150 containers at Inverness harbor, has filed for planning permission to change the use of the building. Info: www.selfstorage4u.co.uk
