Concrete Admixture

When added to concrete, Barrier-1's Admixture significantly inhibits the growth of bacteria and fungi, including black mold, in humid applications. Designed for all concrete applications, the mix contains a precise blend of silicates, hydroxides and antimicrobial agents. When blended into the concrete prior to pouring, the Barrier-1 Admixture will not allow moisture migration or capillary action inside the slab, creating a more dense concrete with an increased strength of 14 percent. Once properly cured, the concrete is compatible with all floor coverings, adhesives and coatings.
