USstoragesearch.com announced the winner of its 2007 Internet Marketing Challenge, which asked self-storage owners and operators to share information regarding how they are promoting their facilities online. The winner of the contest’s grand prize, a four-day, all-expense-paid cruise for two, is Karen Kosek of Security Self Storage Ltd. in Highland Heights, Ohio.

Launched in August, the Internet Marketing Challenge aimed to educate the self-storage industry regarding online marketing by recognizing companies with innovative programs. The company sought entries from the industry’s most creative, effective and efficient Internet marketers. Participants came from all over the country.

“This challenge was very exciting for us. We plan on doing it again next year due to the popularity and great response,” said Megan Eckert, executive vice president. “Internet marketing is becoming such an important part of the self-storage success equation that we felt it was important to bring more attention to this effective medium.”
