Manhattan Mini Storage (MMS), which operates 20 self-storage facilities in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens, New York, has launched Manhattan Mini-Sets, a new comedy-video series available for streaming on the company’s Instagram, TikTok and YouTube pages. The company transformed some of its storage units into club-style spaces in which New York City comedians from Brand Up Comedy offered performances, according to a press release.

The videos featured a diverse range of comedic styles from six local comedians: Gastor Almonte, Lizzy Cassidy, Chase DuRousseau, Christiana Jackson, Maggie Lalley and Tim McLaughlin, each of whom performed for audiences of up to 15 people.

"Here at Manhattan Mini Storage, we're always on the lookout for a good laugh. This collaboration has been a real New York moment, merging comedy and storage and making the most out of small space—that's quintessentially us,” said Sarah Little, senior vice president of marketing for MMS.

“We're all about connecting comics and brands to create comedy gold. Teaming up with Manhattan Mini Storage? That's like hitting the jackpot,” said David Rosenberg, cofounder of Brand Up Comedy.

MMS was founded in 1978 as a family-owned business. It was acquired in 2021 by StorageMart, which operates more than 250 self-storage properties across Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Founded in 1999 and based in Columbia, Missouri, StorageMart has a portfolio of more than 24 million square feet.

Brand Up Comedy creates connections between comedians and brands to deliver sponsored stand-up content. It was cofounded by Dani Zoldan, owner of Stand Up NY comedy club.
