Self-storage developer FourStore LLC is intending to build two storage facilities in Charlotte, N.C. A proposal for 1325 W. Mallard Creek Church Road calls for a 107,000-square-foot facility on 4.3 acres, according to the source. The property is in the University City area, adjacent to the Interstate 85 interchange at the intersection of Legranger and West Mallard Creek Church Roads.
The project would include two storage buildings up to three stories each. The parcel was recently rezoned to allow distributive businesses, the source reported.
The second proposal was submitted under the affiliate name Morehead Storage Associates and calls for a multi-story self-storage facility on 0.73 acres at 600 W. Morehead St. The project would include an office and parking underneath the building. The uptown property is near Bank of America Stadium.
The FourStore venture includes Budget Development Partners LLC, which has developed several self-storage facilities in the Charlotte area, according to the source.
