Sharemystorage.com (SmS) enables homeowners looking to rent unused attic space, spare rooms, basements and garages to people looking for storage. Founder Imran Azam was inspired to launch the online service a year ago after a neighbor asked if she could store her childrens bikes in his garage while her home was renovated.

Registered users are able to list, search, communicate and come to an agreement with other members through the sites private messaging system. Members are encouraged to build up their profiles with photos, background information and personal testimonials. The service is free for those seeking storage. SmS charges storage providers a one-time fee equivalent to a weeks storage once storage is booked.
