U Hold The Key, which operates 12 container-based self-storage facilities primarily in Northeast England, recently won the “Best Operator of Multiple Sites” award from the Container Self Storage and Traders Association (CTSA), a U.K.-based professional organization that represents the interests of container self-storage operators and suppliers. U Hold was honored last month during CTSA’s annual conference, according to the source.
Among the criteria considered for the best-operator award was the company’s “commitment to professionalism, innovation, service and creativity,” the source reported. The CTSA also recognized U Hold in the “Best Website” and “Most Original Container Photograph” categories. Ryan Tempest, customer-journey manager for U Hold parent company Parsons Containers Group of Cos., was commended in the “Outstanding Staff Member” category.
“We are incredibly proud to receive these prestigious accolades from the CSTA,” said Helen Parsons, managing director for Parsons. “It’s a really major moment for U Hold The Key to secure this international award, and it’s also significant for the wider Northeast business community. This is a testament to the hard work, dedication and expertise of our entire team. This will drive us on as we continue to provide exceptional self-storage services and seek to lead innovation in our industry.”
Founded in 2001, U Hold The Key offers more than 1,500 storage containers that are accessible 24 hours a day.
Launched in 2000, Parsons is an independent, privately owned business that supplies shipping containers. Additional brands under the Parsons umbrella include ContainerContainer, Containers-Now and Parsons Containers Ltd.
The CSTA has more than 100 members in more than 20 countries. It expanded its scope to include self-storage in 2020, according to the source.
