Clarks Direct of England Adds Self-Storage to Stay Competitive

Paul Clark, founder of Clarks Direct in Stratton Strawless, Norwich, England, says he plans to add self-storage to his 10-year-old delivery and storage operation to stay in business, The Evening News reported. The haulier recently invested £250,000 in a 7,500-square-meter addition to its paper-storage warehouse. The company will also add two 10,000-square-meter warehouses in the future. Clark stated rising fuel costs and competition make it prohibitive to invest more money only in the haulage side of his business.
