Blue Self Storage of Cardiff, Wales, is one of three companies supporting a new philanthropic initiative launched by a United Kingdom rugby star. The Sir Gareth Edwards Cancer Charity aims to raise funds for Welsh youth, age 15 to 35, who are undergoing cancer treatment, according to the source.
The new venture will provide grants to help patients who need help with their medical expenses. It’ll also provide advocacy to cancer patients, raise awareness about the disease, and offer support to similar organizations.
“During these extremely important early years of my life, I was always part of a team,” Edwards said. “A team will always look out for each other and support each other in difficult times. This is what this charity will do.”
Blue is joining two other Cardiff-based businesses that’ll support the new aid organization. They are Space2B, a provider of serviced office space, and Techsol Group, which specializes in “digital transformation.” All three companies will host fundraising events throughout the year.
Founded more than 30 years ago, Blue Self Storage operates two locations in Cardiff and one in Newcastle, Wales.
