TCL Media Group, a developer of websites focused on self-storage auctions, recently acquired OnlineStorageAuctions.com. In addition, the company has merged two of its existing websites, VirtualStorageAuction.com and StorageAuctionForums.com, with the new one to create a single reference point for self-storage lien sales. The new portal also includes more than 500 articles, 17 celebrity interviews and 1,000 comments from the active blog AuctionsTX.com.
VirtualStorageAuction.com is a free listing service for self-storage lien sales. Units can be listed by facility operators, auctioneers or private sellers, and bidders can use the site to research available units before placing an online bid. StorageAuctionForums.com is a free storage-auction discussion site with more than 30,000 posts.
New website features include a zoom element that allows auction buyers to view detailed photographs of a unit’s contents, a mobile-friendly version, and a copy/paste widget that enables storage operators to cross-post listings from the auction website to their own. Once the script is installed, it will automatically update whenever a new auction is added.
In addition to allowing self-storage operators to post lien auctions, the website allows tenants to sell the contents of their own units, whether to unload unwanted items or avoid foreclosure.
