Tenant Inc., a developer of real estate technology, has acquired Storelocal, a private membership program of independent self-storage operators. The combined company will have the backing of more than 200 self-storage investors and 1,500 membership subscribers, according to a press release.

“Tenant and Storelocal were both founded on a shared mission of providing freedom, choice and innovation to self-storage owners and operators,” said Tenant CEO Lance Watkins. “By combining forces, we will be able to accelerate our suite of services and benefits, helping self-storage customers to grow their business and increase their profit.”

The acquisition enhances Tenant's SaaS platform for self-storage, with complementary recurring revenue streams of protection plans, brand services and membership benefits, the release stated.

Headquartered in Newport Beach, California, Tenant offers customizable solutions for self-storage operators, including property-management software, website technology, digital-marketing services and more.

StoreLocal enables members to leverage resources to lower operational costs and increase profit. The company operates more than 60 locations in several states.
