Self-Storage Technology Firm OpenTech Opens London Office, Appoints European Director

OpenTech Alliance Inc., a Phoenix-based provider of kiosks, call-center services and other technology for the self-storage industry, has opened an office in London that’ll operate as OpenTech Alliance Europe and appointed William Corbett as director of operations. The office will serve as the company’s European headquarters and “provide a local presence” for its customer base in the region, according to a press release.

“OpenTech’s innovative and customer-focused approach will bring new opportunities to operators all over Europe,” Corbett said. “I’m excited to be heading up our European growth and look forward to offering robust products and top-level tech support to new markets.”

The company has previously partnered with Belgium-based IT services firm e-BO Enterprises to facilitate European product installations and level-one technical support, which helped it “better understand the challenges facing European operators,” officials said. OpenTech’s access-control system, Insomniac CIA (Centralized Intelligence Access), has been deployed at more than 250 self-storage facilities across the continent, the release stated.

OpenTech specializes in smart-connected technology solutions. Its products and services include the Insomniac line of kiosks, call-center solutions and access-control systems. It also operates the storage-auction website StorageTreasures.com.
