Self-Storage Directory USStorageUnits.com Offers College Scholarship

USStorageUnits.com, an online directory that helps consumers find and choose self-storage facilities in North America, launched a scholarship program this month that’ll award one college student with $500. The application deadline is Dec. 15, according to the company website.

To apply, students must complete an online application and write a 500- to 600-word essay on one of two topics related to self-storage. They can compose a fiction or nonfiction essay about self-storage, or explain how they would use a storage unit and what they would store inside.

Applicants must be age 18 or older as well as a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. They should also be enrolled at an accredited college or university in the United States and have a minimum grade point average of 2.5.

The scholarship recipient will be chosen based on academic achievement and the essay, which will be judged on originality, creativity, grammar and style. He or she will be announced on Jan. 15. The winner will be required to submit proof of enrollment within 10 business days of notification.

“We are honored to announce this college scholarship, which reflects U.S. Storage Units commitment to college students who are pursuing a higher education in the United States,” said CEO and founder Victor Dante.

USStorageUnits.com allows customers to locate, compare and reserve a self-storage unit online or over the phone. The platform integrates with all major property-management software systems, according to the source, plus the ability to pull data and push reservations in real time.
