OpenTech Integrates Its Self-Storage Access-Control System With Space Manager, Stora Management Software

OpenTech Alliance Inc., a Phoenix-based provider of kiosks, call-center services and other technology for the self-storage industry, has integrated its access-control system, Insomniac CIA (Centralized Intelligence Access), with Space Manager from RADical Systems Ltd. and Stora property-management software from Stora Ltd. The moves coincide with OpenTech’s increased activity in the European self-storage market, including the opening of an office in London.

The integrations are designed to be seamless for self-storage operators and tenants when using the administrative and customer-account features of the respective platforms. This includes tenant-code retrieval, real-time inventory and access-management controls for operators as well as streamlining the account-management, access and rental experience for customers, company officials said.

“We are thrilled to partner with OpenTech Alliance to provide our customers with a fully integrated facility-management software and access-control solution,” said Gavin Shields, CEO of Stora. “Our company’s aim is to improve automation in the industry, and the synchronization of tenant data is an integral part of that. We’ve always been committed to offering a system that makes access control automatic, and keeps properties secure. This partnership was a critical component for our customers as both companies seek to grow across the U.S. and U.K.”

“We are delighted to be able to offer an integration with OpenTech Alliance to expand the choice of systems available to our customers to include the wide range of solutions offered by OpenTech,” said Rip Bucks, founder and managing director of RADical Systems.

RADical Systems has provided property-management software to the self-storge industry since 1992. Its Space Manager program is used by operators in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and South America.

Stora offers a self-storage management and automation platform. The company has customers in Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States. Shields also owns StoreStuff, which operates self-storage facilities in Dungannon and Portadown, Northern Ireland.

OpenTech specializes in smart-connected technology solutions. Its products and services include the Insomniac line of kiosks, call-center solutions and access-control systems. It also operates the storage-auction website StorageTreasures.com.
