OpenTech Alliance Inc., a Phoenix-based provider of self-storage kiosks, call-center services and other technology, has released a new whitepaper focused on tenant trends from 2020 and 2021. It also provides comparisons to four-plus years of transaction data to offer insight into recent shifts in consumer behavior and help self-storage operators prepare their businesses for the post-pandemic era, according to a press release.
Available for free on the OpenTech website, the publication draws on the company’s database of self-service and automated transactions, including more than 900,000 data points in 2021 from its portfolio of software, service and technology solutions. With more than 40 pages of data, its touchpoints will help self-storage operators see when consumers engage technology throughout the customer journey, and how they can target friction in their operation to improve the tenant experience and build savings into their business, the release stated.
“OpenTech’s willingness to share their insights about tenant behavior demonstrates their commitment to helping self-storage operators improve their businesses,” said Anne Ballard, president of marketing, training and developmental services for Universal Storage Group, a third-party management firm. “We all know how important data is when fine-tuning the operations of our self-storage facilities. The whitepaper helps us identify new sources of data we may not have thought of in the past, much less utilized. We all agree that looking to the trends and data collected can really help us maximize our tenants’ overall customer experience.”
OpenTech specializes in smart-connected technology solutions. Its products and services include the Insomniac line of kiosks, call-center solutions and access-control systems. It also operates storage-auctions website StorageTreasures.com.
