MiniCo Insurance Agency LLC, a provider of insurance products for the self-storage industry, has released the third video in its series on safety and loss control for self-storage operators. Focusing on ladder safety, the new “short” is available through the company’s website and YouTube channel.

The video provides information to educate facility owners and managers on safe ladder use. Topics include ladder selection, positioning, inspection, safety rules, and techniques for ascending and descending.

“Unsafe ladder usage can result in injuries to employees and self-storage tenants. The goal of this video is to educate self-storage managers and owners, create an awareness of ladder safety as an ongoing issue on their properties, and provide tools and information to help users work safely and prevent potential injuries,” said Mike Schofield, company president and CEO.

Previous videos in the series address tenant safety and preventing slips, trips and falls. Future videos are planned on a variety of topics. Each includes a link to a quiz designed to reinforce the viewer’s retention of the subject matter, the release stated.
