MiniCo Insurance Agency LLC, a provider of insurance products for the self-storage industry, will begin offering an upgraded business owner policy (BOP) as part of its self-storage insurance program on April 1. The product will provide enhanced protection for policyholders and streamlined service for insurance agents, according to a press release.
The upgrade includes new coverages, limit and deductible options as well as policy-option flexibility. MiniCo also will provide faster policy and endorsement issuance and inhouse claim processing for “fast, fair resolution,” the release stated.
"The effort to upgrade our commercial self-storage BOP has been driven by MiniCo's continuing commitment to our valued independent insurance agents and mutual customers," said CEO Mike Schofield.
Founded in 1974 with self-storage tenant insurance as its sole insurance product, MiniCo offers multiple insurance models and products to address the specific needs and corporate growth strategies of self-storage businesses. It also operates MiniCo Insurance Agency of Canada Inc. Both are members of the Aran Insurance Services Group.
