StorSuite, a provider of various self-storage services that launched in January after the merger of seven industry vendors, has launched a claim portal for its tenant-protection program, Storage Shield. The company also hired a new business-development manager, according to a press release.

The portal is part of the company’s strategy to integrate advanced technology into its service offerings. It enables self-storage tenants to submit claims through the online program at any time. They can also upload photos, receipts and supporting documentation.

“StorSuite’s new claims portal is a game-changer for the self-storage industry,” said Damon Emerson, divisional vice president and cofounder. “We understand that our customers’ time is valuable, and this innovation is part of our ongoing effort to provide the most efficient and user-friendly services possible. By automating parts of the claims process, we’re not only enhancing the customer experience but also setting a new benchmark for the industry.”

In addition, StorSuite hired Jessica Johnson as business-development manager. In this role, she’ll identify new business opportunities, foster client relationships and spearhead initiatives. Most recently, Johnson was president of the Storage Business Owners Alliance. During her tenure, she increased the company’s social media following, onboarded new service partners, and executed multiple virtual conferences and summits, the press release stated.

Johnson has also served on the boards of the Florida and national Self Storage Associations. She has experience in business development, event management and marketing.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to welcome Jessica to the StorSuite team. Knowing her both personally and professionally over the years, I’ve witnessed firsthand her drive, infectious energy and passion for the industry,” said Christina Alvino, CEO and cofounder of StorSuite. “Jessica has been a tremendous supporter of StorSuite from the start, and I’m excited to now work with her daily as we continue to make an impact in the industry.”

“I’m excited to join the StorSuite team and contribute to a company that is leading the way in innovation and service within the self-storage industry,” Johnson said. “StorSuite’s strong commitment to people and service is one of the key reasons I’m so passionate about this new venture. I look forward to diving in with both feet and using my experience to drive growth and continue to build lasting relationships.”

StorSuite was born of a partnership between Fervent Capital, FineView Marketing, My Storage Plus, Phyrem, Pinnacle Storage Managers, Pinnacle Storage Properties and Storage Shield. The company provides industry marketing services, technology platforms, tenant-protection plans, management services and more.
