StoreEase Inc., which operates self-storage facilities and offers a virtual third-party management platform for the industry, has launched Virtual Counter 3 (VC3), a patent-pending tool that helps operators of all sizes increase their use of virtual technology and drive net operating income. It’s powered by the company’s Virtual Management Operating System, according to a press release.

Like the original Virtual Counter, VC3 offers a suite of features including:

  • Lead- and task-management tools that facilitate tracking and follow-up on customer interactions

  • A communication assistant, VERA, that automates customer interactions by sending payment reminders, lead follow-ups and customizable text messages

  • A text-to-pay feature that processes customer payments based on account status

  • An alert system for prioritizing and routing customer communication

  • A multi-sensor detection system that ensures rapid and accurate recognition of individuals within the physical self-storage environment

  • An all-in-one customer interface that includes property maps, lease e-sign capabilities, a reservation lookup and more

“The StoreEase engineering team is focused on continuing to advance our technology stack for scale. There are tens of thousands of properties that need virtual technology, and our goal is to build solutions that put the customer and operators first,” said David Wu, chief technology officer.

Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, StoreEase acquires, develops and oversees self-storage facilities. It manages 44 properties across 14 states. Its virtual-management platform offers automation tools such as 2 Minute Move-In, DemoSuites, Smart Environment, Virtual Assistant, Virtual Counter, Virtual Manager and Virtual Terminals.
