Self-Storage Finance Firm Talonvest Hires Relationship Manager

Talonvest Capital Inc., a boutique real estate adviser serving the self-storage industry, has hired Kim Leslie as relationship manager. Leslie will work out of the company’s headquarters in Irvine, Calif., and interact directly with clients and capital providers. She will also manage underwriting, placement and processing of client transactions, company officials said in a press release.

Leslie previously worked with Talonvest principals at a predecessor firm, where she gained experience in underwriting, analyzing and asset-managing joint-venture-equity investments for industrial, office, retail and multi-family properties nationwide. She most recently developed and managed national relationships with retailers and distributors of consumer-electronics products.

Leslie began her commercial real estate career as an analyst for real estate investment firm The Irvine Co., after graduating from the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

"Kim's acumen and skill set will further enhance the value that clients experience as they work with the Talonvest team," said Tom Sherlock, a company principal. "Smart growth allows us to continue providing clients with a very unique team approach that differentiates Talonvest in the eyes of many commercial and self-storage investor-developers."

Founded in 2010 and based in Orange County, Calif., Talonvest structures debt and equity for self-storage and commercial real estate investors and developers nationwide. The principals of the firm have more than 80 years of combined experience.
