Chicago Title Launches Nationwide Self-Storage Group, Announces Leadership

Chicago Title National Commercial Services California (CTNCSC), a member of the Fidelity National Financial family of companies, has launched Chicago Title National Self-Storage Group to provide various services nationwide for single- and multi-site self-storage transactions. Offerings include title insurance, legal-document recording and 1031 exchanges as well as modification endorsements for recapitalization, foreclosures, note sales, construction financing and refinancing, according to a press release.

Chicago Title also hired Chuck Mills to lead the new venture as vice president of national sales, based in the California office. Mills has nearly 40 years of finance experience encompassing loan origination, financial consulting and venture capital. His foray into the self-storage sector began in 2000. Since then, he’s financed more than 500 loans totaling more than $2 billion.

Most recently, Mills served as president of CEM Capital, where he facilitated loan originations, investment equity and joint ventures. Throughout his career, he’s helped finance more than $10 billion in commercial loans in hospitality, industrial, multi-family, office and retail, the release stated.

Mills earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas and holds a California real estate broker license. He’s a member of various self-storage associations.

In addition to Mills, the self-storage team includes Jaclyn Estabrook, an 18-year veteran of the real estate industry, and Chad Wilson, Chicago Title's dedicated self-storage escrow officer, who has more than 25 years of experience.

CTNCSC offers title insurance, closing and escrow services, construction disbursement, and legal-document recording. The team works in the commercial, hospitality, retail, industrial, multi-family housing, power and energy, government, and general-business sectors.

Fidelity is a provider of title insurance and transaction services to the real estate and mortgage industries.
