Kinnovis, a Gebirge, Austria-based provider of self-storage management software that also operates storage facilities under the Store Room brand, has launched JaneGPT, an artificial-intelligence (AI) chatbot built specifically for the storage industry. Available to all facility operators, the tool was designed to improve customer service by handling online inquiries, providing support and generating sales 24/7, according to a press release.
JaneGPT integrates with a self-storage operator’s current facility-management software and website to offer immediate answers to customer questions, with the goal of simplifying online rentals and reducing response times. The chatbot is powered by Microsoft Azure’s OpenAI servers and complies with the AI Act legislation that was recently enacted by the European Union, the release stated.
With JaneGPT, self-storage tenants and prospects can learn about:
Live unit availability
Unit-size recommendations
Facility terms and conditions
Rental-cancellation policies
Specific unit features relevant to the individual
“We want to provide self-storage operators with an intuitive, 24/7 chatbot that can interact with their customers to the same standard as their current customer support,” said Martin Wild, founder and chief operating officer of Kinnovis. “Our vision is to establish JaneGPT as the premier AI-powered solution that sets the standard for operational efficiency, customer service excellence and data-driven decision-making in the self-storage market.”
Popular features of Kinnovis software include online bookings, task automation and interactive facility maps. The product is used by self-storage facilities in 15 countries.
Kinnovis opened the first Store Room site in 2018. It now operates three remotely managed locations in Vienna.
