Article-Keep It Simple Storage to Release NFC Locks for Self-Storage Units

Keep It Simple Storage (KISS), a provider of remote-management technology for the self-storage industry, is getting ready to release a new product in January that’ll help facility operators better secure their storage units. One Lock is an NFC (near-field communication) lock that functions via wireless technology, according to a company announcement.

The device enables self-storage tenants to open their units with via an NFC-enabled device such as a smartphone, though they’ll have to download the One Lock mobile app to do so. In addition, operators can remotely grant and revoke tenant access and view recorded access data. The system will automatically connect to each facility’s property-management software, the source reported.

Based in North Carolina, KISS also offers two-way smart video, a mobile app and a self-storage auto-attendant.
