Adverank Releases Pay-Per-Click Management Software to Self-Storage Industry

Adverank LLC, a software developer and social media marketing firm, has released a cloud-based software product designed to help self-storage operators maximize their pay-per-click (PPC) advertising. The launch is a joint venture with Avad Capital LLC, a commercial real estate investor with roots in the self-storage industry that provided $1 million in seed capital for the product, according to a press release.

The ad software integrates with a storage operator’s facility-management software to analyze ad spending across multiple locations and make daily recommendations for individual locations, geographic regions or an entire portfolio. The product went through two years of development to create proprietary algorithms, which will be enhanced through the consumer-facing platform, the release stated.

Adverank has provided advertising and marketing services to the self-storage industry for five years. Avad Capital used the company’s services to help grow its self-storage portfolio before divesting most of its 110 locations to a publicly traded real estate investment trust, according to the release.

“Adverank was born from internal software developed to serve our customers in the self-storage industry,” said Adverank CEO Jason Zickler. “Our goal was to help our customers increase occupancy by customizing their PPC spending daily, if necessary. By utilizing point-of-sale data, we collect nearly real-time information, and our software provides recommendations based on PPC results. We have successfully increased occupancy and value for our clients while reducing wasteful PPC spending.”

Based in Zionsville, Indiana, Adverank has served more than 60 million ads on behalf of more than 125 self-storage facilities representing about 10 million rentable square feet, the release stated. The company also provides social media advertising services.

Based in Dallas, Avad Capital invests in real estate as well as operating companies with real estate connections. It has interests in multi-family, recreational and self-storage properties through development and value-add expansion, according to its website.
