An unidentified 53-year-old woman drove her SUV into Northwest Self Storage in Redmond, Oregon, Thursday morning. No injuries were reported, and there were no signs of driver impairment, according to a source.

Officers and medics responded to a call at 7:25 a.m. after a 2019 Subaru Outback left the road, crashed through the fence surrounding the facility at 1401 N.W. 6th St. and struck several units, damaging three, the source stated.

Redmond Police Lieutenant Eric Beckwith said the driver reported a possible mechanical problem and was having difficulty steering at the time of the accident. No citations were issued.

Northwest operates 10 facilities in Central Oregon.
