A man was arrested on burglary charges early Saturday morning after police discovered him inside a unit at a self-storage facility in Johnson Park, Calif. Officers from the Shasta County Sheriff's Office noticed a motorized three-wheeler parked in front of Ideal Storage Units, 37173 California 299, at 12:15 a.m. The business was closed and the gate was locked, according to a source.

Officers had scaled the fence and were searching the facility when they discovered a cut lock on the ground near an open storage unit. They heard someone inside and ordered him to come out. When police questioned and searched the man, 23-year-old Duane White, they found stolen property in his pockets, the source reported.

Police contacted the storage tenant and confirmed the property found on White had been taken from the unit.

White, who lives near the facility, was released from police custody on Sunday, the source reported.
