Police are investigating a body found at a Carlisle, Arkansas, self-storage facility that caught fire on Jan. 22. An insurance agent found the victim, identified as 41-year-old Daniel Ford, during a routine damage inspection on Jan. 28, according to sources.

On the day of the original incident, the Carlisle Fire Department responded to the blaze at Bennett’s Mini Storage, 1931 State Highway 13 N., at about 8:15 a.m. Six storage units were destroyed.

The Arkansas State Crime Lab will determine the manner and cause of Ford’s death, a source reported.

The storage facility offers 135 drive-up units.
