Five Star Storage Announces New CEO, Staff Hires

Five Star Storage, which operates 30 self-storage facilities in the Dakotas and Minnesota, announced several staff changes. The company named a new CEO and made two new hires, according to a press release.

Ben Hendricks has been promoted from chief operating officer to CEO. He’ll succeed company founder Chuck Hendricks, who’ll serve as chairman. Ben has held many roles with the company over the past 15 years including manager and vice president of operations. He plans to continue Five Star’s expansion in existing markets and new territories.

Chris Kampmeyer was hired as director of acquisitions and development, responsible for sourcing new growth opportunities. He previously worked for self-storage brokerage firm Marcus & Millichap.

Jacob Barney was hired as director of construction. Formerly a civil engineer by engineering firm AE2S, he’ll be in charge of managing all Five Star construction and development projects.

Based in Fargo, North Dakota, Five Star was founded in 2004. It also provides property-management and development services.
