Janus to Host San Diego Workshop for Self-Storage Professionals

Janus International, a global manufacturer and supplier of building solutions and technology for the self-storage industry, is hosting a workshop and networking opportunity for self-storage professionals, August 11-13, at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines in San Diego. The Janus Education & Technology (JET) event will focus on several industry topics including facility development, with a focus on conversions and renovations; technology, with a focus on automation; and marketing, with a focus on branding.

A welcome reception will be held on Aug. 11, followed by concurrent seminars and panels on Aug. 12. Roundtable discussions will take place on the morning of day three, followed by an afternoon facility tour.

Event speakers include Terry Bagley, president of the Smart Entry and Facility Automation Division; Troy Bix, president of the R3 Division; and Roc Hughes, vice president of the R3 Division for Janus. Others are Christina Alvino, CEO of FineView Marketing; Josh Boyd, founder of On Guard Self Storage; Dave King, managing director of Wentworth Property Co.; John Mannes, partner of Pinnacle Self Storage; Travis Morrow, president of National Self Storage; and AJ Osborne, co-owner of Keylock Storage.

“To us, there’s nothing better than providing quality self-storage industry education to owners and operators, no matter where they are on their career paths,” Bix said. “This JET Workshop will be a wonderful opportunity for folks to really learn about some of the most popular topics in our industry, and time to sit down and ask questions with our expert speakers.”
