Real estate developer and investor Wasatch Storage Partners (WSP) has hired Nathan Bennett as chief investment officer. In this role, Bennett will lead all aspects of identifying and analyzing the company’s acquisition and development opportunities. He’ll also be a key member of the executive team, responsible for shaping the strategic direction of WSP, according to a press release.

Most recently, Bennett was vice president for the self-storage group at Crow Holdings Capital Real Estate, a Dallas-based asset manager of private-equity real estate funds. He also served on the firm’s investment committee for the self-storage fund.

“We are thrilled with the addition of Nathan to our team,” said Bret Durfee, CEO for WSP. “In a relatively short amount of time, Nathan has developed a vast network within the self-storage industry, and has developed a reputation of competency and integrity that can only help Wasatch grow and prosper well into the future.”

Based in American Fork, Utah, and founded in 2015, WSP specializes in self-storage acquisition, development and management. It operates six self-storage facilities in Arizona, Colorado, New York and Tennessee under various brand names. It also has five projects in planning phase and four under construction, plus one expansion underway.
