Self-Storage REIT CubeSmart Recognized as ‘Champion of Board Diversity’ by Forum of Executive Women

CubeSmart, a self-storage real estate investment trust and management company, was named a “Champion of Board Diversity” by the Forum of Executive Women, which supports women in leadership roles in Greater Philadelphia. It’s the sixth time the company has been recognized for this honor, according to a press release.

The award recognizes organizations with corporate boards composed of at least 30% women. This year’s honorees were featured in the Forum’s “Women in Leadership 2021” report, which examines how companies in the region support the advancement of female leaders in corporate boardrooms and executive suites.

“At CubeSmart, we value the opinions and perspectives that come from our teammates and stakeholders. That’s why we are grateful to our board members for the diversity of thought they bring to us as they challenge us to think differently and challenge the status quo,” said Christopher P. Marr, CEO and president of CubeSmart. “It’s an honor to be recognized for the gender diversity of our board.”

Headquartered in Malvern, Pennsylvania, CubeSmart owns or manages 1,242 facilities nationwide. Its total operating portfolio comprises about 87 million square feet.
