Thousands of new mens and womens clothing items will be auctioned this Thursday by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) at an Uncle Bobs Self Storage facility in Opelika, Ala. More than 100 boxes and plastic tubs filled with pants, underwear, T-shirts, shorts, crew shirts, scrubs, and more will be auctioned to settle the debt of an unnamed delinquent taxpayer.

All products are made of 100 percent continuous filament polypropylene yarn. The fabric is designed to transfer moisture and will do so for the life of the garment. As a result, the garments perform very well in hot and cold climate conditions, the IRS said in its public notice.

The public can preview the items during an open house at the self-storage facility, 3951 Pepperell Parkway, from 2-4 p.m. on July 24 and from 8-9 a.m. on July 25. The auction will begin on Thursday at 9 a.m.

Uncle Bobs is owned by Sovran Self Storage Inc., a real estate investment trust that owns and manages more than 470 storage facilities in 25 states.
