Topical System for Concrete

Interior concrete slabs with recurring moisture and mold problems can be permanently repaired by installing the Barrier-1 topical system. The three-step process creates a chemical seal that prevents moisture intrusion from hydrostatic pressure and capillary action. A microbial additive inhibits any potential mold growth. The process densifies and reconditions the concrete surface and includes a low-pressure application of two coats of the Barrier-1 sealant at the rate of one gallon per 250 square feet. A cementitious coating creates the final permanent seal. The system has zero volatile organic compounds. The Barrier-1 topical system can help a project registered under the U.S. Green Building Councils LEED rating system by qualifying for possible credit points in the areas of energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, and indoor environmental quality.
