ISS Meets Success in Miami

Despite a postponement due to Hurricane Wilma and competition with holiday travel plans, the Inside Self-Storage Expo in Miami, Nov. 28-Dec. 1, was a tremendous success for attendees, speakers and exhibitors alike. Hosted in conjunction with the Florida Self Storage Association, the event featured three full days of educational seminars, roundtable discussions, Q&A sessions and exhibits in addition to the ISS signature "Prime-Time Open Forum," "Security & Software Summit" and "Buyers' & Sellers' Meeting." Other networking events included an evening cocktail reception and vendor-hosted coffeebreaks.

The show's more intimate setting allowed vendors to conduct business with clients on a highly personal level, and many happily reported the generation of promising leads. "The response from vendors and attendees indicates this was a great show that presented high-quality business opportunities. The Florida Self Storage Association is pleased to have been a part of this extremely successful event," said FSSA Executive Director Linnea Appleby.

The Miami expo was also the official debut of the 2006 ISS Factbook. Published every November, the Factbook is a compendium of educational articles on all things self-storage. Often referred to as the "A-to-Z guide to the industry," it covers topics ranging from construction and development to complex operational issues.
