Store Space Self Storage Hires Senior Vice President of Marketing

Store Space Self Storage, an operator and third-party management company, has hired Jonathan Tress as senior vice president of marketing. With a background in marketing for multi-location franchises, Tress will be tasked with enhancing the company’s brand as it continues its national growth, according to a press release.

Previous roles for Tress include vice president of marketing for Noodles & Co., senior vice president of insights and innovation for Quiznos, and vice president/group media director for Crispin Porter + Bogusky. Most recently, he was advising startups in the early stages of brand positioning and marketing tactics.

“Jonathan’s expertise and track record of success at two of the best-known brands in fast-casual, combined with his knowledge of multi-location marketing, continues our trend of attracting the brightest minds as we position ourselves for rapid expansion,” said Stephen Sandecki, chief marketing and technology officer for Storage Space. “This is a big win for us.”

“We are excited to have someone of Tress’ caliber and background join the Store Space team,” added company CEO Chris Harris. “The outside perspective is much needed to create a new standard for attracting customers from nontraditional ways.”

“The combination of forward-looking technology, an exceptional team as well as the opportunity for growth and continued expansion across the industry makes Store Space an amazing opportunity,” Tress said. “My expertise lies in gleaning insights from customer feedback and the wealth of available data, and using that to grow the business in ways that might be outside of the traditional means that self-storage has previously relied upon.”

Based in Winter Garden, Florida, Store Space owns, has under purchase agreement and operates more than 100 properties in 20 states.
