Self Storage Manager Inc. (SSM), a provider of management software for the self-storage industry, has promoted Rohan Shenoy to president. Former president Kat Shenoy will continue as CEO and chairman of the board, according to a press release.

Rohan will manage relationships with third-party service providers and seek ways to integrate best-of-breed third-party software and services into the company’s software, the release stated. Additionally, he’ll manage compliance initiatives for payment-card industry, financial reporting, security and data-privacy regulations.

Rohan joined the company in December 2017 as vice president of operations, managing product development as well as partnerships with third-party companies and clients. He developed the product road map for the SSM software suite by working with an advisory committee to gather client feedback and enhance the quality-assurance process. He has also improved the software development and systems-maintenance operations, which consists of research on cloud-computing hosting capabilities, and building the development and IT operations practice to streamline development and deployment operations.

Rohan has nearly 10 years of product, change and account-management experience. Prior to joining SSM, he was a senior consultant at Ernst & Young for five years. His experience includes IT auditing, data analytics, enterprise-resource planning systems and application security. He’s worked primarily within technology, retail, real estate and healthcare. Rohan has earned degrees from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania in computer science and business and is a certified public accountant (CPA).

Its management software includes online reservations and rentals, ecommerce solutions, call tracking, a site walkthrough and work-order management module, and integration with third-party industry technology.
