OpenTech Alliance Inc., a Phoenix-based provider of self-storage kiosks, call-center services and other technology, has hired Scott Brogi as chief financial officer (CFO). He’ll focus on company tools and process improvements to reduce inefficiencies and provide greater data visibility for financial reporting, according to a press release.
Over the last 25 years, Brogi has held numerous senior positions including CFO and chief operating officer in the education, healthcare and technology industries. He began his career in corporate finance with JPMorgan Chase Bank in New York, and in investment banking with Houlihan Lokey Inc. in Los Angeles. Most recently, he was CFO for HyreCar Inc., where he raised more than $40 million in public capital and increased company valuation to $300 million in less than three years. Brogi earned a master’s degree in entrepreneurial finance from The Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles.
“Scott has helped lead several successful companies through vigorous growth cycles. His experience in organic business-expansion strategies and [mergers and acquisition] transactions will play a key factor in the strategic growth of our company,” said Robert Chiti, founder and CEO of OpenTech. “Scott brings an entrepreneurial mindset and leadership to our finance and executive teams that will help us expand not only our technology solution set but also our footprint around the globe.”
“I’m excited to join OpenTech Alliance and help grow technology utilization in the self-storage industry. I’ve always looked for opportunities to apply technology to transform the way the business operates in every industry I’ve worked in, and I see some huge opportunities at OpenTech,” Brogi said. “Self-storage is an entrepreneurial business. More and more operators are looking for better ways to run their businesses. We have some very interesting projects on the horizon to support that entrepreneurial vision, and I’m excited to be part of it.”
