John Gilliland, president and CEO of the Investment Real Estate (IRE) Group of Companies, which specializes in self-storage brokerage, construction and management, recently appeared on the Central Pennsylvania version of “The Shrimp Tank,” an entrepreneurial-themed podcast with several regional broadcasts across the nation. During the 55-minute presentation, Gilliland discussed his attraction to self-storage, why he founded IRE and anecdotes from his career. He also shared insight to his business philosophy and keys to being a successful entrepreneur.

“I had a great time on the show and gave lots of tidbits and nuggets to all the listeners on how to become a better business owner as well as some of my self-storage experiences,” Gillibrand said in a press release.

The podcast is available for free on Apple Podcast, iHeart Radio, Google Play and other podcast platforms. A 15-minute post-show wrap-up is also viewable via YouTube.

The “Central PA” regional broadcast is hosted by Nathan Imboden, vice president, and Taylor K. Ranker II, president, of Questmont Strategic Wealth Advisors, a financial advisory firm. Other regional broadcasts of “The Shrimp Tank” include Atlanta, Boston, Houston and Seattle, among other cities.

Founded in 1998 by Gilliland, the IRE Group includes IRE LLC, the company’s brokerage division; IRE Construction LLC, which handles self-storage facility design, permitting and construction; and IRE Management LLC, it’s property-management arm. Gilliland also operates Moove In Self Storage, with facilities in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
