The Jenkins Organization Inc. (TJO), a Houston-based operator and manager of more than 60 self-storage facilities in six states, has hired Jon Nordan as chief financial officer (CFO). In this role, he’ll work with company president Ricky Jenkins and the chief operations officer to develop and execute a strategy of growth and profitability, according to a press release.
Nordan is a certified public accountant with more than 25 years of experience in finance-related positions. He’s held leadership roles with a Fortune 250 company, managed his own start-up construction firm and, most recently, was CFO of a mid-sized industrial-services firm.
“We are very excited that Jon is joining our team. His past experience and expertise will help us tremendously as we continue to grow as a company,” Jenkins said.
Formed in 1989, TJO provides third-party management services to the self-storage industry. Its portfolio of owned and managed properties comprises more than 4.5 million square feet of storage space in Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas and Virginia. The company has 12 developments and two acquisitions underway and is expanding two existing facilities.
