Absolute Storage Management Inc. (ASM), a self-storage owner and property-management firm, promoted Michelle Dean to vice president of operations. In this role, she’ll work with chief operating officer Jennifer Barnett to oversee the company’s portfolio. She’ll develop and supervise a team of regional managers, prepare and review budgets and financial reports, manage client relations, and generally support the operations team.

Dean joined ASM 10 years ago as the assistant property manager at All About Storage in Concord, N.C. She earned a series of promotions, from property manager to general manager, then district manager and regional manager. Most recently, she was a senior regional manager, a position she held for the past two years.

“As VP of operations, I look forward to delivering property owners increased revenues [and] decreased expenses along with providing excellent customer experiences,” Dean said. “Through this new role, I am excited to engage in higher-level business practices in the storage industry. The VP of operations role will allow me to be a resource to support and promote team-member development in an environment that advances individual and company success for ASM.”

Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Memphis, Tenn., ASM operates 140 properties in 16 states. It has regional offices in Atlanta; Charlotte, N.C.; Jackson, Miss.; and Nashville, Tenn.
