Self-Storage Building Supplier MakoRabco Names Executive Vice President for West Coast

MakoRabco, a nationwide supplier of buildings and construction-related services for the self-storage and boat/RV-storage industries, has hired Jeremy Maynard as executive vice president of the West Coast offices, headquartered in Carlsbad, California. He’ll be responsible for project execution and supply chain, according to a press release.

Maynard formerly worked for Perlo Construction in Tualatin, Oregon, where he helped develop the company’s portfolio. During his tenure, he completed more than 26 self-storage facilities comprising more than 3 million square feet. His experience will help MakoRabco expand its workforce and national reach, the release stated.

Maynard started his career in the construction field as a union carpenter, then became a project superintendent. He then transitioned into management, first as a project manager and then as a project director.

Maynard has a comprehensive understanding of the construction industry and uses this knowledge to take a proactive approach to projects, seeing potential issues before they develop, the release stated. “My vision is to continue building the MakoRabco legacy for generations to come. Taking care of our customers and our employees and improving our processes to build the best quality facilities nationwide is and always will be the focus,” he said.

Maynard first collaborated with former MakoRabco Executive Chairman Caesar Wright while working at Perlo. Wright mentored him when he first entered the self-storage industry and, together, they helped establish Perlo’s development profile.

“The MakoRabco legacy and its people are the main aspects that attracted me to the company,” Maynard said. “Growing relationships with partners, executing forward-thinking procedures and solidifying the company’s reputation as the best builder in the self-storage industry will be our roadmap to success.”

MakoRabco specializes in self-storage and boat/RV-storage building design, supply and installation. The company formed in March when Mako Steel Inc., founded in 1993, and Rabco Enterprises LLC, founded in 1988, joined forces. The company operates from offices in Carlsbad, California, and Winter Garden, Florida.
