Moove In Self Storage, which operates 24 locations in Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, has hired Brian Foran as director of operations. His responsibilities will include developing and leading policies and systems, setting portfolio goals, maintaining a responsive organizational structure, and overseeing the property-management team comprised of area managers, property managers and relief managers, according to a press release.

Prior to joining Moove In, Foran was a senior manager of operations efficiency in Salt Lake City and a district manager for self-storage real estate investment trust Extra Space Storage in Southern California. In these leadership positions, he was responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements, redesigning the process for repairs and maintenance, improving training processes and content, and other special projects. As a district manager, he led a team of 17 property managers overseeing with more than 1.3 million rentable square feet. He also held positions in Delaware, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania while working for Extra Space.

Foran earned an undergraduate degree in 2012 from the University of Phoenix and will receive a bachelor’s degree from the school this month.

Founded in 1998, Moove In operates facilities in Baltimore County in Maryland; Berks, Huntingdon, Lancaster, Montgomery and York Counties in Pennsylvania; and Sussex County in New Jersey.
