City Line Capital, a real estate investment firm that acquires and manages self-storage properties nationwide, has hired Ben Carr as chief investment officer (CIO). He’ll be responsible for developing and executing the company’s national investment strategy, according to a press release.
Carr has more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. He most recently served as CIO and president of Go Store It, a privately held firm that focuses on self-storage acquisition, development and management. Prior to that, he was president of MCSS Development & Investment LLC (now Basis Industrial), which also specializes in self.
Carr also served as CIO for LifeStorage LP before its acquisition by self-storage real estate investment trust (REIT) Uncle Bob’s Self Storage (now Life Storage Inc.). In addition, he previously held positions as vice president of investment and controller for REIT CubeSmart. He earned a bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree from Villanova University.
