Arizona Mini Storage Management Co. Restructures Corporate Leadership

Arizona Mini Storage Management Co. (AMSMC), which operates the Storage Solutions self-storage brand, has reorganized its company leadership. Ray McCrae has been promoted to president, while former president Bill Bohannan will serve as CEO. In addition, Craig Clifford, accounting and finance manager; Denise Donovan, corporate operations manager; and Rick Moebs, regional operations manager, were promoted and will round out the company’s executive-management team, according to a press release.

The leadership group has more than 75 years of combined experience in the self-storage industry. “Our company understands the importance of a seasoned team and the concerted efforts by each individual on our team to contribute to its growth and success,” McRae said.

“We have exciting plans for the future,” Bohannan said. “Our culture has always served as a guide to helping others achieve their goals.”

Founded in 1989 by Melinda and Tom Swanson, AMSMC was acquired by Bohannan in 1997. McCrae joined the company in 1998. In April 2015, Storage Solutions became a participating regional operator of self-storage real estate investment trust (REIT) National Storage Affiliates Trust (NSAT). It operates 30 self-storage facilities in Arizona and Nevada.

Headquartered in Greenwood, Colorado, NSAT is a self-administered and -managed REIT focused on the acquisition, operation and ownership of self-storage properties within the top 100 U.S. Metropolitan Statistical Areas. The company operates 1,101 storage facilities in 42 states and Puerto Rico. Its portfolio comprises approximately 71.8 million net rentable square feet. It’s owned by its affiliate operators, who are contributing their interests in their self-storage assets over the next few years as their current mortgage debt matures.
